Although Simplot is a huge, multi-million dollar company they understand they have responsibilities in other regions besides business. The majority of Simplot's representation is through people, offices and plants in small or rural communities and they try their best to support these communities that give them so much. They do give a lot of financial support by running ads in local newspapers, sponsoring 4-H students and also offering an annual college scholarship. They also donate to other organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters, St. Luke's Hospital, The Terry Riley Clinic, YMCA and many more. The Simplot organization gives generously to these organizations knowing what good can come from their success. 

J.R. also always stressed the importance of volunteering with your community in order to better see the change you are trying to make. Simplot employee's devote their time to multiple community activities such as Rake-Up Boise, The Simplot Games and the annual French Fry feed in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Their time spent volunteering positivily benefits their fellow citizens.
