 The Simplot brand may have started more than eighty years ago in the fields of Southern Idaho, but since then the company has grown and diversified in massive ways. Simplot now has expanded it's business across the world with each factory having a specialty of its own. With roots in Mexico, Guatemala, Australia, Asia and Europe Simplot has the ability to utilize these regions for their resources in order to produce and delivery the freshest products to their customers. 

 South of the Border: Mexico and Guatemala

In the factories in Mexico and Guatemala the Simplot company pairs traditional hand labor and high-tech processing in their product processing to bring about the highest quality product. Simplot employees hand pick avocados, broccoli and cauliflower off an assembly line, removing any less than perfect vegetables before making the finished product. Simplot is partners with one of the largest broccoli and cauliflower operations in North America. Most of their product is sold to U.S. customers who sell the food under their own label. Simplot is also one of the largest avocado producers 

​in North America, with it's facility in Morelia, Mexico being one of the most elite in the industry. 



 Asia and Europe: Brick-and-Mortar meets Sales-and-Marketing

​Asia and Europe work with Beijing to bring the earth's resources to customers all around the world. The "brick-and-mortar" part begins with a plant in Beijing. The plant was built in 1992 and was the first international potato processing facility in China. The plant produces millions of pound of potato product such as french fries and hash browns for fast food chains and other quick service clients all over China. 

The sales-and-marketing part takes place over in Asia and Europe, where it is represented by a small, energetic group of employees who use personal sales calls, innovative marketing techniques and the Internet to create excellent results for the business. 

Simplot Down Under: Australia 

Simplot's Australia branch is the top food service provider in the country, and one of the top five food manufacturers in the area. It is also the only Simplot factory to play a huge role in the retail food marketplace. On average, every Australian eats at least one Simplot product a day, which isn't by chance. Simplot works hard to deliver the kinds of products that it's customers want and looking at Australia, it seems to be working. Simplot Australia is also often recognized for their efficiency and innovation, and their Nutrition Science Department is always trying to improve the quality of their products.
