The Genius of Simplot
"Simplot and its employees make the long-term sustainability of the environment, this business, and our communities as a part of everything we do. This is what we stand for. This is our generational culture."

Simplot Sustainability:
Three Pillars
Simplot has centered it's sustainability around three core concepts; Respect for resources, spirit of innovation and passion for people. With these ideas in mind, the Simplot company works hard each and every day to achieve their mission of "Bringing Earth's Resources to Life."
Respect for Resources:
Simplot works hard in order to make sure they have a lesser effect on the environment. The company is committed to working in compliance with all environmental laws and regulations, while also using all the natural and recycled resources they can. In 2009, the company was invited by the U.S. Department of Energy to become a Save Energy Now Leader. With this commitment, the company promised to reduce it's total energy output by twenty five percent or more over the next ten years. Since this commitment, sixteen of Simplot's industrial factories have reduced their energy usage by ten percent, putting themselves ahead of schedule. Another two factories have cut down their energy usage by twenty five percent already in only three years.
Spirit of Innovation:
One of Simplot's main focuses is technological innovation. The company works hard to infuse this idea with all levels of operations in order to lower overall costs, reduce operational impact and improve efficiency.
Passion for People:
Simplot wouldn't be anywhere without their very loyal employees. The company works hard in order to ensure the safety of their employees and their communities. The company strives to eliminate any risks associated with the manufacturing and distributing of their products, ensuring that their employees have the safest work environment possible. Simplot also tries to make their employees an active component in all processes, maximizing their awareness which reduce risk and result in proactive systems. The Simplot company has always been privately held, in this case meaning family held, and the families of their employees are considered family. They hold their employee's safety to the highest degree because they know the importance of them.
